Michael Steven Klembus

Michael Steven Klembus, age 60, of Alvin passed away on September 1, 2020 in the comfort of his own home with his family by his side. He was born on August 3, 1960 in Cleveland, Ohio to parents, Richard and Virginia (Virostek) Klembus. Michael found happiness with Barbara Baldwin, and they were married on December 10, 1993 in Springfield, Ohio.

Michael enjoyed a wide variety of activities such as fishing, hunting, sports, and video games. More importantly Michael enjoyed being a loving husband and a devoted father. With his wife Barbara, their most favorite adventure was cruising. Together, they visited many countries, made a lifetime worth of memories, and shared every day to its fullest. He often spent his days being the problem-solver when his children called with the slightest matter. There was never a question he did not know the answer to. When Michael become a Papaw, he embraced his grandchildren with the same promise and devotion as he did with his own.   He had a gift for making comfort in tough times, light in the darkness, and seemed to always have the right words to say. He was a mentor to all of those around him.

Michael was an operations manager in the environmental and safety industry and quickly became very respected by his peers. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Klembus.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Barbara Klembus; his father, Richard Klembus; his children: Magan McCann, Tiffanie Newcomb, Todd Klembus (Ashley Mallett), and Tracy Klembus; brothers and sisters: Andrew (Nancy) Klembus, Amy (Dean) Starr and Maria Klembus; grandchildren: Nathan, Paige, Ashton, Bryson, Madison, Olivia, Jackson and Theodore; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Services for Michael will be held on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at Oak Park Chapel. Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 4:00 p.m.
