Richard Anthony Sepolio Sr., age 71, left this earth and into the arms of Jesus on January 13, 2021. He was born in Houston, Texas on October 6, 1949 to parents Rudolph and Amalia (Centeno) Sepolio. He married the love of his life Debra Bean on February 13, 1982. They moved from the Sagemont area of Houston to Alvin thirty two years ago and made it their home. In 1970, Rick joined the United States Army, where he quickly distinguished himself and became a member of the Special Forces Community. As a Green Beret he did one tour of duty in Vietnam, serving with the 5th Special Forces Group. He was a decorated member of the Special Forces community, achieving the rank of Sergeant before his discharge in 1973. After honorably serving his country, he joined the Houston Police Department, where he proudly served his community for over 36 years, primarily with the Southeast Gang Unit. After enjoying one year of retirement, he decided to continue serving his community as an Investigator with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors working on his tractor, mowing, and working in his yard. He was a man with a big heart and much wisdom and would often be found helping others with projects and serving where he could. His greatest love was his family and time spent with them. He especially treasured time with his grandchildren. The memories made will be forever treasured.
Rick was preceded in death by his mother, Amalia Sepolio, grandson, Hunter Speckman, brother in law Floyd Bean, and sister in law Doris Miller.
