Ronald J Norfolk

Ronald Jean Norfolk, age 78, of Alvin passed away on September 25, 2021 in Webster. He was born on April 26, 1943 in Trenton, Missouri to parents, Harold and Ruby (Roberts) Norfolk. Ron served our country as a member of the Air Force. While stationed at Goose Bay AFB, Ron became pen pals with Barbara Boyd, the love of his life. They were married on July 8, 1967 in Washington, Illinois. He was an Industrial Arts teacher until he and his family moved from Illinois to Texas in 1979. Ron retired from Amoco Chemical Company where he was an Operator.

Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Norfolk, his parents, Harold and Ruby Norfolk; and his brothers, Charles Norfolk, Jerry Norfolk and Larry Norfolk.

He is survived by his children: Rene Hurley and husband Jeff of New York, Jeffrey Norfolk and wife Kelly of Alvin; grandchildren: Allison Ramirez and husband Wilbert, Shannon Hurley, Aaron Norfolk, Emily Norfolk, Sean Hurley; and great grandchildren: Aubree Funderburk, Ayden Lavender, and Chloe Speers; sister Susie Poppa ; and sister-in-law, Nancy Norfolk.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Park Chapel with Pastor Ryan Olivier officiating.
