Shirley Ann (Sisson) Fisk, age 77 of Pasadena, was given her angel wings on December 29, 2021 in Houston. She was born on December 31, 1943 in Honey Grove, Texas to George Walter Sisson and Irene May Williams. Shirley had 12 siblings.
She married Robert Harold Fisk on October 3rd, 1974 in Clayton, New Mexico. Robert and Shirley were soulmates and had a love that lasted a lifetime. They loved to travel together and spend time with their daughters and grandchildren. They loved the mountains and spent many vacations in New Mexico and Colorado. They lived in Oklahoma for several years and settled in Houston, Texas in 1979.
Shirley enjoyed traveling, bird watching, playing board games, listening to music, shopping, dancing, and spending time with her family. Shirley was a member of the Park Gate Community Church in Pasadena, Texas for many years. Shirley’s faith was very important to her and she had a strong love for God. Shirley loved her dog, Jingles, her beloved poodle. Shirley worked for the University of Texas Dental Branch for 23 years, retiring in 2006. She was a receptionist, secretary and worked in the library at her job that she enjoyed for many years.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Harold Fisk; her daughter, Deborah Sue (Moss) Hayden; her parents, George and Irene Sisson; and her siblings: Basil Sisson, Bobby Sisson, William Sisson, Daniel Sisson,Thelma Brown, Virginia Sessums Dollar, Lucille Jones, Laverne Jackson and Kay Blake.
Left to cherish her memory are daughters: Cynthia Lang and husband Randy, and Danielle Zottarelle and husband Tony; grandchildren: Christina Sunley, Keely Hayden and boyfriend Alec Colhoff, Alyssa Hayden, and Blaine Lang; great grandchildren: Koa Hudgens and Kaden Sunley; siblings: Jackie Sisson, Lynn Sisson and Linda Hensler.
Services for Shirley will be held on Monday, January 3, 2022 at Oak Park Chapel. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Zachary Coffman officiating. Interment will follow at Confederate Cemetery.
