My sister Missy was quite simply the best sister in the world, along with my older sister Irma. Growing up, she was only 2 years older than me and was my playmate, confidant, teacher, role model, best friend, and so much more. She taught me so much about life and love (and even about emoji's!) and helped me in so many ways too numerous to count. From playing outside on the swingset, to playing in the orchestra together, to fun family vacations and holidays, to the teenage and college years, she was always there with her joyful heart, loving spirit, sense of fun, steadfast encouragement, and unwavering support. She could make me laugh until my sides hurt and always made me feel safe and loved. What a treasure she was!
Missy was an incredibly kind, thoughtful, courageous, faithful, and positive person, regardless of the circumstances. She was an absolutely beautiful person, inside and out, and radiated the peace, love, and joy of the Holy Spirit. To be around her was to feel loved, happy, and blessed. Missy was always looking for ways to help and encourage others and to enrich and better their lives, which she did time and time again. I will always be grateful for her kindness and love for me, as well as her encouragement to love the Lord with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength. She was such a mighty woman of God and a true inspiration. I'm so thankful I had the privilege of knowing her as a person and friend and even more grateful to have had her as a sister. I will miss her every day, but am so thankful she's in the arms of Jesus and know I will see her again someday soon. Thank you for everything Missy, I love you so much!!!❤️🙏🏼❤️

I have only known Melissa for a few years, but what a blessing to have known her! Her faith was amazing! I thank God for bringing her to our Moms in Prayer Group. She loved her Lord and her family so much! Rest in Peace, sweet Melissa! And prayers for her family and friends who are grieving so much at this time! I am sorry I cannot be at her service, but I am living in Canada now. HUGS long distance!

Melissa's light shone continuously, sparking joy in all she came into contact with. God's love and peace radiated from her and spread it to others. She will be missed so much but we rejoice that one day we'll meet again with our Lord Jesus Christ. My sympathy and prayers to her precious family.

Jim and I have known Missy since she was a child and know her to always be kind and considerate and filled with love for her family and her Lord God. I know that she has struggled with cancer for years and that James has walked with her every step of the way.
